Dear Colleagues,
As you are probably aware it was announced at the end of last week that Sydney Opera House had been accepted onto the UNESCO World Heritage List. This is a great honour for all of us and particularly our architect Jorn Utzon.
Sydney Opera House is the youngest building to be listed and the only one to be listed with a living architect. Our UNESCO listing pays tribute to the vision of those who conceived and built our unique building and all involved in caring for Sydney Opera House since.

I would like to thank those of you who have sent congratulatory messages and acknowledge the contribution of everyone involved in facilities management at Sydney Opera House, past and present. Without the support and involvement of the numerous contractors and consultants in our facilities management team this momentous achievement would not have been possible.
The dedication that you have show in maintaining Sydney Opera House today gives me every confidence that we will continue to live up to this great honour.
Thank you for your support.
