Well it appears that the never-ending cycle of activity for Cleanevent UK is destined to continue well into the foreseeable future. Now that we have successfully completed servicing all our major events we have headed into another season of Premier League football.
This season promises to be the most exciting yet as English and international players competing in the Premier League seek to impress their national coaches and cement their places in their respective national teams for next years World Cup to be held in Germany.
Our three Premier League teams have had a mixed start to the season with Tottenham being the ‘surprise packet’. Although they trail Chelsea at the moment (isn’t everyone) they are surprisingly ahead of their fierce North London rivals Arsenal and are second in the table at this early stage of the season. Fulham have had a tough start to the season but will no doubt improve as the season progresses.
On the business development front we have had a very successful six weeks here in the United Kingdom. Anthony Chin has successfully negotiated with Fulham Football Club to provide our services for the training ground at Motspur Park, all of the Club’s office facilities and the Megastore in Fulham Road. Well done to Anthony and thank you to Alex Gordon for the faith you have shown in the Cleanevent brand. Amazingly, in the same week we were advised that our tender submissions for both Cheltenham Racecourse and Chelsea Football Club had been successful.
Cheltenham Racecourse is situated amongst the beautiful Gloucestershire countryside approximately two hours west of London and is the home of the Cheltenham Gold Cup, one of Europe’s largest racing festivals. We are delighted that Cheltenham has joined its sister track Aintree Racecourse in the Cleanevent UK portfolio. Thank you to Edward Gillespie, Simon Willetts and the team at Cheltenham for your faith and support. Darren Raczkowski, David Holt and the transition team will ensure your decision is vindicated by the provision of superior service levels throughout the ensuing National Hunt racing season.
Another exciting addition to our growing portfolio of Premier League clubs is that of Chelsea Football Club. There can be no doubt that Chelsea is one of world footballs emerging brand names and we are delighted to be associated with a club as high profile as Chelsea. Stamford Bridge is more than a football ground; it is a village that contains two hotels, an apartment building, numerous restaurants, megastore, television studio and office complex. ‘The Bridge’ is always a hive of activity, is an exciting place for our people to work and we look forward to a long and rewarding journey with Simon Arthur, Chris Gleeson and the team at Chelsea. A special thank you to Scott Booth for the seamless transition of Chelsea Football Club.
Finally on the business development front, we have expanded the size and nature of our contract for the 2006 Farnborough International Airshow. Traditionally, we have provided ‘stand cleaning’ services to many of exhibitors at Farnborough as well as servicing the office facilities for FIA. We have now been awarded the waste management and litter picking contract for the entire site for the duration of the 2006 Airshow. This is a fantastic opportunity for Cleanevent to further cement its association with another world famous brand name. Thanks Andy!!
Our business development success has only been made possible by the commitment and dedication of all those people who work so very hard every day at our venues and events. This commitment ensures that Cleanevent delivers the level of service that our valued clients are seeking and makes the Cleanevent brand attractive to our potential clients. Well done and thank you to Darren Raczkowski and Kirsten Moody for your commitment, dedication and invaluable contribution to our business development success over the past couple of months.
We have been fortunate to have had Nicko Mavro, Chief Executive Officer for the Cleanevent Group, visit the United Kingdom over the past couple of weeks. During this time Nicko toured the majority of the venues serviced by Cleanevent in the United Kingdom and was fortunate to meet most of our clients. Thank you to Jon Babbs, John Beattie, Ian Ritchie, Richard Grier, John Cox, David Thomson, Edward Gillespie and Simon Willetts for taking the time out of your hectic schedules to meet with Nicko.
If I neglected to mention our friends at Silverstone it is on the basis of ‘what happens on the island – stays on the island’. Suffice to say that Nicko and I always enjoy the company of Alex, Lee and Jimmy and here’s cheers to the Saracens Head Inn in Towcester.
Once again to everyone within Cleanevent UK, thank you for delivering the mission, believing in the vision and living the values of our great company.
To our valued clients, thank you for your continued support, your belief in the Cleanevent brand and for making us feel so welcome in your venues and at your events.
Peter Cruskall Chief Executive Officer
