Moonee Valley Racecourse
Published on 29-SEP-04
The months of September and October see two significant race meetings in the Cleanevent calendar at Moonee Valley.

The first is the Cleanevent Manikato Stakes, staged on Saturday 11 September 2004.

This meeting saw Cleanevent entertaining clients and staff in the Cox Plate room at Moonee Valley. Guests included our friends at DMG, Australian Grand Prix and Collex, with the overwhelming response that all had a good day. Congratulations to Spark of Life on running such a great race.

The second race meeting is of course the prestigious Cox Plate to be run on Saturday 23 October 2004. The staff is now in countdown mode to this great event with everyone working diligently to present the racecourse in pristine condition for the Club’s blue ribbon event, when thoroughbreds gather to contest this true test of who is the best racehorse in the land. Along with the race itself the build up to this event sees MVRC host a number of functions leading up to the big day. We look forward to working with John Cameron, Dev Basu, Darcy Smith and the whole MVRC team on this great weight for age race.

The new Octagonal Lounge had its first real workout during the Cleanevent Manikato and based on the numbers and the response from the members this area will be a huge success at all future race meetings and functions.
