EKKA 2004

It seemed not long ago we were just bumping out of the 2003 Brisbane Show when we were fronting up for then 2004 event.

Some good planning at all levels saw the transition into event mode run fairly smoothly. This year saw a change of scope that meant more staff on the ground and ultimately a better overall presentation of the Venue.

This year also saw the introduction of recycling, although in a limited form. Generally success was achieved, however the recycling process would be more manageable if it was uniform across the entire site: something that needs to be considered for the 2005 event.

From all accounts, RNA Management at all levels was very satisfied with the level of service provided. I would like to take the time at this point to thank Jonathon Tunny, Greg Coughlin and Derek Luckman for their support and understanding throughout the event.

From an internal prospective we had a dedicated Event Admin Assistant this year who was responsible for coordinating staff and the Cleanevent Management system. This allowed Ken Mayes and myself to concentrate more on operational aspects of the event and further developing client and staff relationships.

All in all, we learnt from our efforts this year and plan to carry that same momentum and commitment through to 2005.
