2003 CLEANEVENT MANAGEMENT ACADEMY
The goals of the academy are to:

1. Ensure the growth of individuals and the improvement in management skills within the company.

2. Develop a curriculum with the aim to provide a well balanced education experience, with an emphasis on areas directly relevant to each role and future growth in personal development, practical exercises, theory, operations and planning skills, team building and social activities.

3. Make a major contribution to the growth of the company globally and its direction and culture.

We have committed to the academy for the past three years, seeing it mature and we are clearly starting to see the outcomes in the field. This can only benefit the business and the people in it.

This year the academy focused on leadership, planning and quality in the work place. The presentation of theory in the classroom was tested in simple activities out in the field by way of timed leadership reaction activities. The course learning culminated in a consolidation exercise based on a bid submission for a 'fictional' Olympic precinct to well educated results.

Whilst all 17 students graduated, we were able to acknowledge two outstanding participants:

Scott Booth - Events Manager for Cleanevent UK was presented the Colin Sanders Award for Excellence. This award is made to the student who contributes most to problem solving through professional knowledge and leadership.

Ben Dangerfield - CFO for Cleanevent Australia was presented the Chairman's Award, which is voted for by the course participants for the most outstanding natural leader within the group. The person most demonstrating natural team spirit, camaraderie and upholding of the values of the Cleanevent guiding principles.

We congratulate both Scott and Ben on their achievements, along with all the students who participated in this years Academy. Also, a special thanks to Peter Cooper and his team for their efforts in pulling everything together this year. We are proud of all their efforts and contributions in making this another avenue for developing those in our business.
