Since the last Teamtalk, Cleanevent USA has successfully started up operations at the Everett Event Center (EEC) in Everett Washington, just north of beautiful Seattle. The Everett Event Center is a medium sized indoor hockey arena that also becomes a small convention center, a public ice rink, the host of events such as the Disney Princesses on Ice, the Washington State High School Women’s Volleyball Tournament, a Bull Riders show, several concerts, and many other small events that happen on a daily basis in the Convention and Meeting Hall area of the EEC contributing to making it one of the most versatile venues of its kind in the Pacific Northwest.
It is home to the Everett Silvertips, a junior league professional hockey team. The first home game for the Silvertips, and our first “official” event in the venue was a sellout of over 8,200 fans that turned out to see their new team play. While the team did not get its first win in the building that night, Cleanevent’s crew, led by the new Venue Cleaning Manager, Brent Ewald, scored big with a flawless performance, keeping the record crowd tidy and neat during the event and cleaning the facility to a spotless condition after the final horn sounded.
Brent Ewald comes to us with many years of venue experience. Brent spent nearly ten years working and managing in different capacities at the Reno Horse Exposition and Event Center, eventually working his way up to the Director of Facilities there. He has also had his own business in the event services industry. Brent tackled this new venture with enthusiasm and a sense of confidence that comes with knowing the event business extensively. His proven experience has shown great results at the Everett Event Center in its first two months.
Besides hockey, the EEC’s scheduled events are ongoing and sometimes multiple events take place at the same time. Brent and his crew definitely have been kept busy since the opening day. Upcoming events include the Builder Bob Stage show, the Harlem Globetrotters, and of course, more hockey!
